Race Conversations Part 1 with Jonita Johnson

We’re kicking off a series, Race Conversations, with Pastor Jonita Johnson (affectionately known as Mama Jay). This incredible woman is a preacher, mother, grandmother, author, and so much more - she even owned a company called Mama Jay's Lip Smackin’ GOOD Hot & Spicy BBQ Sauce and Rubs. What doesn’t this woman do?! Collide Founder and Director Willow Weston got the privilege of interviewing Pastor Jay about her experience as a Black woman in different parts of the country, how we can tangibly love one another better, and what it means to reconcile under the name of Christ.

You can find Jonita’s books at https://www.lulu.com/spotlight/jay_cobid or on Amazon.

The Collide Podcast
Welcome to the Collide podcast. We are so glad you’re here! We’re excited for you to join us every week as Collide’s Founder and Director, Willow Weston interviews incredible humans who are experiencing God doing amazing things in their lives. We invite our guests to share from an authentic and vulnerable place the ways that Jesus is showing up and colliding with them in the mess, the pain, the beauty, and the joy. We know you will be inspired, refreshed, and encouraged and leave each episode knowing God meets you where you’re at and is doing something beautiful right there.
